Check out forums.qhimm.com and look specifically for the 7th Heaven mods or the Reunion. Unfortunately right now they can't be used together, but they are currently working on fixing that. With 7th Heaven, you get updated mods for graphics, gameplay, music and more in a much easier and more effective fashion than Bootleg ever had.

This one video is good enough to tell the FF7 The Reunion is compatible with Steam and doesn't break anything. However, the 60FPS mod is still WIP. The next release does offer a better 60FPS mod (true 60FPS animations) and get rid of most bugs. It will also come with a sound fix which restores a lot of functions the psx version has but the PC version doesn't.
